CD Reviews

A Child On Her Own

"For Kelly Rowland, she had a whole lot to prove as being one-third of Destiny's Child. Nevertheless, she already proved it with her first solo record, Simply Deep. The first single of the album, Stole, is a very crafty and difficult song to really talk about. It talks about people often saying bad things about kids and ignoring them constantly, and seeing what could've happened to them if they were treated differently. When I saw the video for this song, I just shed a couple of tears for a personal reason I could relate to that song. Many people think that Beyonce Knowles was the whole package of Destiny's Child, largely because she was the lead vocalist, but when I heard Kelly on her own, it was amazing."

"Stole, The first solo single out of Kelly Rowland's new cd "Simply Deep", is simply one of the best songs I have ever heard....
First of all, it tells a story, not just talks about love (like most of the songs coming out this days). It's a beautiful sad song, very difrent from most of the songs we hear lately, and Kelly just has an amazing voice...
As for the single itself: it contains 5 tracks, including the album version and the pop edit (which you can hear on the "Stole" video). The remixes are also preety good. Ofcourse not as good as the album version , but they are still good.
For conclusion: Buy it, it won't hurt you to give it a try, and trust me, you won't be disappointed..."
