Synopsis

Album Description
A current Japanese group led by the talented Akihisa TSUBOY (Violin and guitar), K.B.B. has given us in "Lost And Found", their first album, a brilliant and colorful work that combines the earthy power of GERARD or VIENNA with the melodic finesse of OUTER LIMITS or UK, sprinkled here and there with discreet touches of jazz-rock reminiscent of the work of Jean-Luc PONTY. A musical cocktail of rare intensity, a real revelation !

CD Reviews

A cooking hot debut album
Squire Jaco | Buffalo, NY USA | 01/12/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"In the style of Kenso and other great Japanese fusion bands, KBB's debut album is a delight from start to finish. Crystal clear production reproduces each high-end cymbal hiss, as well as the deep rich tone of a very melodic bass. Love the fantastic Bruford-style drumming, and great keyboard work that includes piano, moog, mellotron, organ and more. And the violin adds a dimension that you don't typically hear with this kind of music. All-instrumental, very nice melodies and tempo shifts, good contrasts between aggressive and sweeter sounds.

This is one of the highest rated albums I own, folks. Essential.

I value interesting music that is played and recorded well. This cd's rating was based on:

Music quality = 9.6/10; Performance = 10/10; Production = 10/10; CD length = 10/10.

Overall score weighted on my proprietary scale = 9.8 ("5 stars")
