"I never heard of these guys till I saw it at listening station at a record store. I was blown away by the roots rock music and great vocals. Reminds of some of my favorite bands that never made it (for various sad reasons)- Gin Blossoms, Posies, Material Issue. I've got to see these guys live. I'll give it five stars if it stands the test of time. It's probably too much to wish that they make it big."

"Finally a band that can rock you without boring you to death. The first 3 songs-Powerkiss, Girl, & Noggin Poundin are 3 of the best songs written ,produced & performed in a long time.Noggin Poundin, co-written by Mac Burrus of "SELF" is destined to be a #1 request. The rest of the CD continues with this excellence in rock. If you are tired of listening to songs that sound as if the singers are bored with life and you want to hear a crisp new approach that has a retro style-buy The Katies-You will definitely demand more."

"The Katies self-titled album is a refreshing change from the still slightly angst-ridden alternative rock, such as Oleander and Godsmack (though, I do like both of those bands). There's a bit of 80's sound mixed in with the 90's style. "Powerkiss" and "Noggin' Poundin'" are sweet declarations of love (or like?), but with low levels of mushiness. If you like music the rocks, but doesn't give you a headache after listening to three songs, I definitely recommend this album."
