Optimist Party is a catchy new collection of hard-hitting songs featuring Kosowski on vocals, guitar, and bass accompanied by a stellar collection of some of Canada's most in-demand instrumentalists. It was co-produced by Toronto bassist Marc Rogers (Divine Earth Essence, Wade O. Brown) and features performances from top Canadian musicians. The lineup reads like a who's who of Canadian music and includes Vancouver drummer Randall Stoll (k.d.lang, Tom Cochrane, The Rankin Family), saxophonist Kelly Jefferson (Maynard Ferguson, Jefferson-Grant Quintet), and Oliver Johnson (Ivana Santilli, Esthero). Kosowski herself performs on a variety of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, grand piano, Hammond B3 organ, Wurlitzer and 5-string bass.
