Great Sax!

I discovered Kaori Kobayashi while researching the gifted jazz pianist Hiroko Kokubu, who plays on some of the tracks above. I was pleased to find that the skill and heart that Ms. Kobayashi brings to the saxophone is equal to what Ms. Kokubu brings to her piano work. In my estimation, they both rank at the top of their musical profession.
Have you ever listened to a Smooth Jazz tune on the radio for the first time, but instinctively knew who the sax player was because his (or her) songs all tend to have the same style? Well, that won't happen with Kaori's music, and thank goodness for that! My personal favorites on Glow are "Dawn Ivory", "Lullaby Child" and "How Deep Is Your Love?" -- the latter being the most heart-felt cover of the Bee Gees' tune I've ever heard.
Since Amazon currently doesn't have have samples of tracks from this album, you'll need to be very diligent if you want to sample some of Kaori Kobayashi's music before buying. But trust me... your perseverence will not be in vain. This lady's got talent!"
