"Kal David was the lead singer of the a great east coast regional band called the Fabulous Rhinestones in the 70's. While it was always clear that the "blues" had an influence in his early years, it is quite clear that he would love to retrun that style in Double Tuff. His vocals are at top form and the band is very tight. This effort could have been even better if Kal had made a decision to stay with one style of music. The tunes jump around from "Rock" to "Pop" to "Jazz" to "Blues" with no sense of order. For old Rhinestones fans this is a must for everyone else, try it, you may find a new artist to add to your collection."

"kal david is a master at many things. he plays great. he sings great. his blues club in palm springs, ca is a great place to listen to great music. he has great guest stars join him often. the club is called The Blue Guitar.his album double tuff is great and your music library should include it. i rate this album as good as it gets, five stars and more!*****"
