Synopsis

Album Description
This is a band from Britany discovered by MUSEA. KADWALADYR uses traditional (celtic) instruments to create an extraordinary celtic-fusion. There is all the power of rock in the rhythm section (a rumbling bass, a virtuoso drummer) and the electric guitar parts, whilst the melodies are influenced by folk celtic music, particularly the wonderful flute parts. The concept is new, the music is new, the musiians are enthousiastic and brilliants, with guest appearances from DAN AR BRAS and Gilles SERVAT. With "18,21" they have shortened their name and on this new album reachs the perfection of their first one. They use Celtic roots and instruments mixed with progressive rock and a jazz virtuosity. Using too a Scottish children choir, they give a new symphonic, orchestral dimension to their sophisticated and powerful music. Helped again by Gilles SERVAT and by Tim BLAKE (from GONG), their music is combining the energy of rock, with the pastoral, aerial, soothing accents of the Celtic music and the richness of symphonic music with electric and acoustic instruments (keyboards, guitar, flute, recorders, bagpipes). A must.
