"When I first sampled this CD in the record store, I was pretty pleased. K.K. Null, turning to grinding techno-ish noise loops and weird electric drones, all very crisp and intense -- seemed just like my thing. But once I got the disc home and listened to it a few times, I began to realize how lackluster it felt as an overall listening experience next to the mystical delight of an album like, say, Absolute Heaven (a Null gem if you ask me.) The tracks are all very abrasive and tend to be very singular in concept. Each track is like an idea based on one or two loops or drones. You listen to the concoction for anywhere between one and seven or so minutes, and then another one begins. I don't know ... personally, I like noise albums that create the feeling of a journey in some way. 0.0004 just feels like a bunch of one-track ideas that get old, and jarring, after you've heard them once or twice. That's just my take, though. It's not a bad album, insofar as it is very sonically crisp and interesting ... certainly nice to sample from ... but I don't consider it one of the highlights of my noise collection."
