Miss Lang returns to Clubland with a BANG!

"The album version of "Summerfling" is a beautiful piece of vintage, 1960's sounding pop music. For dance fans, however, Warner Brothers has enlisted the remixing talent of VICTOR CALDERONE, Wamdue, and Ananda. The Calderone club mix is a very nice house reworking of this song that keeps it simple yet exciting and fresh at the same time. While it's not the best work he's ever done, it's far from a dissapointment. (Check out his new mix of Destiny Child's "Independent Women" It's one of his finest!!!) The Wamdue mix is more original and melodic than Calderone's but less hard. It is a beautiful mix and was a surprising treat considering Wamdue's limited reputation in the US as of now. The Ananda mix is also quite good, but less so than the other two. However, with a great original version, two fabulous mixes, and one good mix, how could you go wrong by purchasing this most worthwhile and underrated single?"

"I just got the full length CD of 'Invincible Summer' recently, after listening to 'Summerfling' on the radio. Kd Lang once again surprises by defying genre. This single is absolutely unclassifiable - it borders on pop, but also strongly emanates an ambience of jazz, R&B, country, and adult contemporary. Its certainly all of these things at once, for sure.'Summerfling' is one of those songs (and there are so few of them these days!) that remind you instantly of a particular time of year. Naturally, this one reminded me of summer, but exceptionally so. Never has a single captured me this strongly, and most lovers of Lang tend to agree. Its a pity that this did as badly as it did on the charts, but as a musical composition it is both rich and lush, and a beautiful piece. Money well spent, and you'll be humming this for weeks. Brilliant."
