"Regardless of what anyone says above, this cd is awesome. Anything Baje One touches is awesome. The guy has such a different and really honest sounding style of flowing, and he comes up with really amazing songs and phrases. This is one of those albums where you get stuck listening to what the MC has to say because it's so smart and well written that before the next line starts, you're still figuring out the visuals and message in the last sentence. He's laid back, really easy flowing, the beats follow the style really well. You wont find any stereo bumpers on this cd, but if you're buying to be enlightened by some sick flows and passionate mc's, than pick up this cd."

"Junk Science is another DJ/rapper combination that I was introduced to on HipHopSite. I didn't get a chance to hear their first album, but I decided to get my hands on their sophomore release, Gran'dad's Nerve Tonic.
Highlights include "That Being Said", "Jerry McGuire" (if you can't tell what that song's a reference to, borrow a brain) and "Glass House". In fact, the only real complaints I have are that three versions of "Do It Easy" aren't necessary, and the skits really don't do much more than take up time. That, and I couldn't get into "Hey". But I still wouldn't mind having another dose of this nerve tonic.
