This is such a wicked album! Most people know Junior for his lead singing with Black Uhuru, but you have no idea what you are missing out on if you haven't heard this exceptional solo album. I can't name you any other artist who has managed to cross the roots of reggae with toady's' dancehall so expertly. `Boom-Shack-A-Lack' includes an outstanding hit single of the same name, as well as the catchy `Cross the Border' and `Row Your Boat'. Junior's incisive lyrics and catchy beats set him apart from all the others. There is something for everyone on this album, and it definitely represents the best of Junior Reid.
