Simply the best flutist, ever

"Julius Baker was simply the best flutist ever in my less than humble or objective opinion. If you don't believe me, ask Sir James or if you can, M. Jean-Pierre (z'lv). Chops, sound, pitch; on any level, the guy just didn't miss and he did it for sixty some odd years. He was a national treasure and I for one, truly miss this great, great master. I'm so happy that I count myself among the legions of his former students: his sound always stays with me."
