Good and Bad

"It's good to finally see "The Wonderful World of Julie London" on CD, but BAD of EMI because "The Good Life" was already put out on CD by them as "The End Of The World/Nice Girls Don't Stay For Breakfast". The "You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry" album would have been a great match for "Wonderful World". Hopefully they will get things right with the rest of the not on CD albums:

EASY DOES IT - [1968]

WITH BODY AND SOUL - [1967]

YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A BABY TO CRY - [1964]

SEND FOR ME - [1960]

LATIN IN A SATIN MOOD - [1963]CD release only in Japan

"Hi, Folks!

Here, in one fell swoop, EMI gives us one of the "best" compilations of their classic "torch singers" genre, Miss Julie London! All I can say, again, is "YES!"

I had both these lovely albums on LP years ago, and it sure makes me happy to know that these are now available again for us to enjoy. BOTH albums on this disc are SUPER, GRADE A, CERTIFIED, KNOCK-OUT's! You NEED them BOTH! TRUST ME!

It's too bad that there are no little "snippits" to listen to, here, as there are on most albums, but take my word, every song on BOTH albums here are great, terrific songs!

These Are:

End Of The World

I Wanna Be Around

Call Me Irresponsible

Our Day Will Come

I Left My Heart In San Francisco

Fly Me To The Moon

Days Of Wine And Roses

I Remember You

My Colouring Book

Chances Are

Desafinado (Slightly Out Of Tune)

Good Life

I'm Coming Back To You

Soft Summer Breeze

Can't Get Used To Losing You

Taste Of Honey

Little Things Mean A Lot

In The Still Of The Night

Love For Sale

When Snowflakes Fall In The Summer

How Can I Make Him Love Me

Say Wonderful Things

Guilty Heart

I Love You

Trust me, here, this is ONE GREAT COLLECTION for any Julie London Fan! If you are unfamiliar, just wait until you hear "Our Day Will Come", "I'm Coming Back To You", "In The Still Of The Night", "How Can I Make Him Love Me", "Say Wonderful Things (to me)" and "(My) Guilty Heart"...you're gonna be KNOCKED OUT, Guaranteed! If I could only pick ONE Julie London album to own, this would be it, folks! Do Enjoy this one! ~operabruin
