A major disappointment.

"I bought this recording based on the musical selections (some of my favorites) and the reputation of Gardiner. I am sorry to say that I was sorely disappointed. The recording lacked the clarity one would expect from a CD. The choral singing lacked the dynamic sensitivity I would have expected and the diction was very poor, particularly the German."
