This is Juanes' finest record to date

"No living North American artist has his talent. Marcus Valle is in a completely different genre, but he is the only other artist on this side of the ocean that comes close to Juanes' monster ability. I wish his record company hadn't tried to market him so much as a heartthrob, it takes away from his message.

The import expands upon the American version of the disk and has many bonus tracks. For any real Juanes fan, the import version is always going to be a better choice.

This album is all about LONGING. Longing with a capital "L". Longing with tears, longing with sweat and blood and grime and everything dirty that goes along with it. And not for a woman-- the darkest tears are shed for his homeland, the shattered emerald of South America, the beautiful and crippled Columbia.

The darkest song is Rosario Tijeras, a black song about a woman who is violently raped and then terrorizes a neighborhood. I can't really sit through it, and not because the song is bad. The story is just too horrible--you can actually see this desperate woman come alive. I wonder if Juanes actually saw this woman, in his mind's eye, or if she is someone he just imagined, a collage of all the broken souls in his tortured native Columbia.

No Siento Penas is the best song on the record. It wasn't the biggest hit, but it's the best song. How many times have I listened to this song, singing my head off in the car, with my toddler happily kicking and waving his arms in the backseat? I can't even begin to count. It's the LatinAmerican equivalent to "I'm walking on Sunshine", except it's actually a great song.

The best. Simply the best.

"Juanes is a real true force in the Latin market, and this album proves it.All the songs are great, and the singing and arrangement are fantastic.Juanes wrote all the song. This man is very talented.I seen him already three times in concert and he never dissapoints. This is a must have in your collection especially to those fan of Rock en Español. I really enjoy it alot. I hope his new album is as good as this one."
