CD Reviews

Outstanding Brazilian Jazz
Papetti | Mexico City | 10/30/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Jose Roberto Bertrami (Ze Roberto) is Azymuth's band leader, and this is a compilation of 2 albums he put out in the 1980's (Dreams are Real) and (Blue Wave).

Ze Roberto is a great pianist/Keyboardist and he displays these attributes in this colection; as a player, as composer and as producer.

Many of these cuts were, back in the 80's and 90's, and in many Jazz radio stations now-a-days, are still standards for the Brazilian Jazz scene. Cuts like (Bye Bye Brazil), (Partido Alto 2), (Shot on Goal), (Dreams are Real), (Tristeza de Nos Dois) and many more........

Also, a stand-out as is costumery in many of these Brazilian Jazz projects, the list of guests performing, is absolutely amazing with many legends; check out Ze Roberto's friends here:
