CD ReviewsA great introduction lutefan | Seattle, USA | 12/06/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "Jose Miguel Moreno is a magnificent artist and this is the best "portrait" disc I've ever heard. It covers a broad range of styles and he plays a variety of lutes and theorboes in a very well-selected program. A nice addition is the vocal work of Montserrat Figueras. If you're like me, you'll use this disc as a starting point to find other discs of Moreno's. But this portrait disc is a success in its own right. The exacting Glossa recording standards mean a rich, warm sound without any fake reverberation added. And you certainly can't complain about the price!"
