2003 Latin Grammy Nominee for Best Flamenco Album. "Lio" Debuted at #8 on the Spanish Charts. Merce is a Gypsy-style Troubadour who Began Singing at the Age of Six, Becoming a Soloist in a Local Church Chorus Soon after and Improving his Natural Skills and Participating in Antonio Gades' Theater Company. He Moved to Madrid in the Early 1970's from his Native Jerez De La Frontera to Join a New Generation of Flamenco Performers, Among them Camaron De La Isla, Tomatito and the Talented Guitarist Paco De Lucia.
