albums were all OOP for so many years. This shouldn't have been the case. These recordings are all older recordings transferred from 78's and there is a lot of surface noise, but the performances are wonderful. If you want great lyrical playing, and can listen through the pops & scratches, this is worth listening to over and over again. I do think that since these are not state-of-the-art recordings and are as old as 1937 that the CD is a bit pricey." |
