Thanks, Amazon

"Thanks, Amazon! This incredible CD was under $4, and I could not find it at any store. The great artists (Carreras, Ricciarelli, Baltsa, and Raimondi) came got together for this Royal Gala concert to raise money to fight leukemia. A few years back Jose Carreras emerged victorious from the battle with this deadly illness and now he devotes much of his time and money to help others to overcome it as well. It is great to see other world-class singers support this noble cause. The concert itself, conducted by none other than Jacques Delacote, is a charmer. Among quite a few great operatic arias, ensembles and orchestral showpieces, the listener is treated with fiery rendition of "Granada" by Carreras, captivating "L'Ultima canzone", performed, interestingly, by primo basso Ruggero Raimondi, a little-known but beautiful Greek song "To treno Fevgi Stis Okto" by Agnes Baltsa, and enchanting "O mio babbino caro" by ever-charming Katia Ricciarelli. The concert ends with "Brindisi" where you can hear artists relax and just have fun with the audience. Overall, I can only wish I was there."
