CD Reviews

It don't get any better than this !!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you're a fan of '70s soul, sweet soul not to mention Philly Soul, there's a good chance this 1974 Epic label recording may become an all time favorite of yours - - a straight through tight and bouncy production. Recorded in Philadelphia's Sigma Sound Studio, the sound isn't so far off from groups like the O'Jays and Spinners. - - The producer/arranger and co-writer of many of the songs is session guitarist Bobby Eli who did a lot of work with the top groups of that era, including Blue Magic, The Salsoul Orchestra, The Trammps, Barbara Mason and countless others. - - If the name Bunny Sigler means anything to you, let's just say he's a cat like that... not a household name, but a major driving force behind the music and star quality talent who obviously did most of his work behind the scenes.

I've only had the CD a half a week and I've listened through it straight at least 24 or so times - - and like all the songs though I have to admit the Commodores-ish RAT RACE definitely closes off the session with bang."
