Album Description

Jonah Matranga has spent the last decade in the music industry and has approached every step of the way by his own terms. After recording with Far, New End Original, Onelinedrawing and Gratitude, Jonah has taken it upon himself to release music for his diehard fans (which include Dashboard Confessional?s Chris Carrabba and Linkin Park?s Mike Shinoda). Jonah even contributed his voice to two songs on Shinoda?s latest Fort Minor album. His years of touring and prolific indie pop songs continue to add new fans each and every day. For the last year Jonah has recorded music by himself and released it through his own website. His appetite to create music was so intense that he wanted an additional outlet and partner for his continuous outpouring of recordings to reach more fans. Equal Vision saw the potential in this gifted songwriter and the first release for the partnership with EVR is his CD/DVD There?s A Lot In Here. The CD contains some of his greatest songs and most rare recordings all in one place. The DVD features two complete live shows and 11 videos, one for each song off of the Onelinedrawing album The Volunteers released on Jade Tree. Consider this the first of many releases from the person that will play a show in a sold out club, or outside for three fans that couldn?t make it in. Jonah gives it his all every time, regardless of the amount of people in attendance. There?s A Lot In Here is interactive, explosive and heartbreaking. Great Addition or Introduction

"If you're a fan than you shouldn't think twice about buying this CD/DVD set. If you don't know Jonah Matranga than buy this. Jonah was the lead vocalist for influential Far before going on his own. He released solo material under Onelinedrawing and material with a band (but still his material) under New End Original and worked as the lead vocalist/co-writer for Gratitude. Now he's using his own name. This collection still focuses on the songs he's penned himself.

You get 3 seperate sections on DVD. A live show filmed at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA where Jonah is joined by a band on some songs. You get a solo performance that takes place in somebody's living room, with Jonah, his guitar, and occasionaly some drum machine played through the house's stereo. Also included is a video for every songs off the Onelinedrawing album "The Volunteers" which includes commentary by Jonah.

A CD included has 11 songs taken from the live performances on this disc. While the CD is great, the DVD is really where its at. For anyone who's ever seen Jonah live you can appreciate it. For new listeners you understand why Jonah's live performances are so great. He communicates with his fans, sometimes even stopping mid-song to thank them for singing along or tell a story about a certain line in the song.
