NO Home Runs here...None with this collection...Sorry.

"I don't know I really expected more.I thought he was gonna take this to another level.Considering everyone and there grandmother is makin these kind of albums. But none of the tunes here will knock you out! there are some tender moments that you think he may vocally lure you in but no...they quickly dissolve.Vocally its very safe...to safe for me. Where are the peaks and valleys? The arrangements are at the point of almost boring...they didn't move me...nothing special.I say there so so...Just no wow moments whatsoever here for me...your left there waitin' no chills a true shame.Vocally i think he could've done much, much, more..Makes you feel they were in a rush to finish this album."Besame Mucho" is a horror...aggghhh. Some of tunes seem to start off well but then they just run out of gas.If you want to hear the best "Besame Mucho" go to Andrea Bocelli the arrangement alone will blow your socks off.I'm disappointed here Did i mention that? lol...This was Jon's big chance to really blow it out of the park...and probably have a come back? Is it a total Bomb? Is it a waste of your time? No, Not really...you can still make the best of it and if you wanted to hear Jon in this genre kinda sorta well... With all due respect to the producer or producers...I think David Foster at the drivers seat would've taken this to another level. Needless to say. This could've been something special. But as far as this being the record that brings Jon back to life? nah.I think it just misses the mark entirely."
Very good but not great

"I enjoyed the classic big band approach to some classic songs. I thought some of the song choices were a little questionable. "Evil Ways" seemed to me not to fit in with the rest of the songs at all, and that was the lead off. And "La Bamba" was generic. Finally, I wouldn't have included Spanish Harlem AND Spanish Eyes."
