"Ok, so I stole the title from The Squire! This is another great CD from Captain Oi (er MOD!). The Jolt were one of a slew of British (in this case, Scottish) bands in 1979-80 that were trying to follow the Jam's recipe for MODern success. The Jolt fall short of the mark a bit. This CD also includes "See-Saw" written by Paul Weller and later recorded by The Jam as a B-side to Eton Rifles. The Jolt tried to dodge the obvious Jam comparisons by even adding a fourth member! Vic Smith and Chris Parry produce this album, as they did with most of The Jam's album - so no wonder the comparisons!This album stands on its own and The Jam tag is a bit unfair for these lads. I prefer this CD and The Crooks CD's (alos now out on Captain Oi Records) when it comes to Mod Revival bands."
