Meet Me in the City is a jazz album of original compositions and select standards. It is arranged around a consistent city theme. Among the original songs on the CD is the new "Boston anthem" Boston (Hub of my Heart). This is Boston-based, trumpeter/vocalist Johnny Souza?s second recording as leader. He is joined on the recording by his working band of Ray Santisi (piano), Barry Smith (bass) and Gene Roma (drums). Also appearing in guest spots on the recording are Greg Abate, Johnny?s Daughter - Leah (22), and Johnny?s Son - John III (19) (trumpet).
