CD Reviews

Another great one from Bear Family

"This is the set to spring for once you find you like the greatest hits and want to know more. This is somewhat rarer material than most CD's have, but does have favorites such as "Sleepy Eyed John", "One Woman Man" and other marvelous songs. Purchase this one with confidence! Only drawback I find is the exclusion' of "Mean, Mean Son of a Gun"! Otherwise, A-OK!"

"A fantastic CD, with many of the Great Rock-A-Billy songs that made Johnny Horton such a great talent. You can't help but want to turn all freinds onto 'Slew Foot", "Honky Tonk Hardwood Floor" and the "Electrified Donkey." An excellent cd if your a Honky-Tonk fan, Country fan, or Rock-A-Billy fan. Only missing one song, "Rock Island Lines", to make this one of the best Johnny Horton collections of all. Worth every dollar!

"Bear Family Records has really delivered a beauty here......top-notch sound will explode from your speakers, allowing the listener to hear the great Johnny Horton as never before. As the title suggests, this is"Rockin' Rollin'".Superb musicianship led by the great Grady Martin on lead guitar(always gives those unforgettable riffs). You may remember him as Marty Robbins guitar player on most of his hits,as well as"Pretty Woman"by Roy Orbison.....countless others.A true genious. This is a cd that'll put a big smile on your face.....Johnny is one heck of a singer and energized performer!Highly recommended!"
