"I heard Johnny Favourite for the first time on the '99 NHL Awards... they played "Rootbeer and Liquorice." I've been looking for a CD of theirs ever since. I love swing (yes, even neo-swing like the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, and especially the Squirrel Nut Zippers), and this is great... it's so true to swing form. :)"

"A friend brought this cd to me from Canada, saying Johnny Favourite was near the top of the Canadian swing charts. We threw it in the c.d. and it hasn't come out since. The lyrics are catchy and fun - especially for a Canadian far from home - and the orchestra is tight. Johnny's voice is fantastic, sounding Sinatra-like in many songs. Great to hear some swing that isn't just the usual cover of oldies. Johnny Favourite is worth a listen."

"What a truism! -- What goes arround, comes arround. Here we have Johnny Favourite and his Swing Band. It's trendy, it's hip and it's well put together. while polished and practiced, it doesn't spark or create the compelling urge to sit up and take notice.... I could well imagine this floating as background music as the local java bar....."
