A Sampler

"All the songs on this Cd are from various other McCutcheon CDs. The scope of this man's talent is amazing; I have seen him in concert, and been laughing one minute and crying the next. His lyrics are about everyday people and everyday things, but he makes them into wonderful stories that make you stop and think. Not only does he play many different instruments (piano, guitar, banjo, fiddle, autoharp, hammer dulcimer) but he plays them well. In fact, McCutcheon is known as "the master" of the hammer dulcimer. And yet, he takes the time to visit with folks after each concert. If you ever get the chance to see him live, go! and if you can only buy one CD, this is a good one."
Pretty awesome if I do say so myself!

"This man has amazing talent that we don't see stand out like all the rest, because he really hasn't been much in the limelight, and I don't understand why, unless he likes it that way. But he really has so much more talent than most "out there". He is so natural with the instruments he plays (guitar, dulcimer,etc...) it seems like the two are one-he blends with them so comfortably. And when you put together his voice, and the smile you hear through his words, along with his gift at playing so many instruments-well-what more can you ask for-really? He is truely a pleasure, and I'm glad I came across this musician."
