CD Reviews

Uncovered- the album that created JOHN not JOHNNY Farnham

(3 out of 5 stars)

"The first thing to remeber when listening to this album is that it was made in the early 80's. (Not that there is anything wrong with that!)But still I can't be too harsh on this album as it does have pretty good songs such as beautiful Jilly's Song (written as I understand for his wife and he has never been able to sing the whole song to her with out crying) and Please don't ask me, a ballad that hit you whether a Farnham fan or not. Personally I prefer the latest version of this song but it still leaves an impact upon me. So if you are a Farnham fan (as i am) it is another different sound from the fantastic Farnham."

"As a fan of John Farnham for the past 21 years(YES Im under 30), I must say that this is one of the best albums he has done...The beautiful Jilly was penned for his wife, and I must admit it brings a tear to my eye when I hear it...All in all, I am extremely biased when it comes to John's albums..I have all his solo albums and a couple of Little River Band associated albums...I love all his music, but I will also be brazen enough to admit that there is one song I'm not too fond of...and NO Im not telling which one!! I LOVE FARNHAM!!!"
