John Anderson At His Best
Jenitune | North Carolina | 08/04/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Whether you are a country music fan or not, John Anderson's Seminole Wind is a stunning classic work of popular music.

The title cut Seminole Wind, penned by Anderson, is one of the most beautiful songs to ever grace the airways. Anderson's vocals are always unique and a bit quirky ... and with this CD, he is at his best.

On top of that, the song Seminole Wind, sends us an important environmental message. This message is that the Florida Everglades are going dry because of a lack of consideration by man, for the fragile environmental balance of the land and water, and the negative impact this has had on the Glades.

This CD has at least 3 "radio hits" to the best of my memory and they hold up very nicely over time. The title cut Seminole wind, Straight Tequila Night and Dire Strait's primo guitarist Mark Knopfler's amazing contribution to this CD - When It Comes To You, were all heavily rotated on most all radio stations without respect to genre.

Knopfler's signature guitar licks are unmistakable. He is perhaps, one of the most easily recognized guitarist's of popular music because of his stylized guitar playing. Seminole Wind is all the better because of Knopfler's contribution to this CD.

If you are considering buying Seminole Wind, take the leap of faith and get your hands on this masterwork. It is not to be missed by any serious popular music connoisseur.
