Joe At His Best!

"Make no mistake, Joe Williams is the best jazz crooner of his time who is also terribly underrated. Joe elevates his art to the highest level of self expression on this album. It was recorded live on one of Joe's european tours where the freshness of the crowd's appreciation is almost as entertaining as this great singer in his most comfortable set. The collection is by far my favorite representation of Joe Williams. You will not be dissappointed. Nothing else comes close."

"I have to confess a bias - this was the first thing I ever bought by Joe Williams. I bought it on cassette a the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Los Gatos, California almost 15 years ago. Right when I bought it, I would play it over and over and over and over. It literally blew me away.

This is an amazing recording. Very, very intimate live recording. You can literally hear glasses clinking in the background. Joe as he talks and improvises is fantastic, as always and the band simply does not stop. They are restrained when they should be and swinging when they need to be. It all works like magic.

This has long been out of print and will soon be gone forever I think. So, snap these up while you still can. You will never regret it. It's a recording you will carry with you your entire life, as I have."
