CD Reviews

An outstanding fluke...

"I purchased this item thinking it was something else in 2004. It was one of the best collections of music in jazz guitar I've ever heard. The title should be available in english... In 2005 I tossed it out the window of my vehicle while frustrated. My wife always queried me over this CD. She said it was one of the most beautiful collection of christmas songs she ever heard and that I should try and find a replacement at a store. My search since then brings me here. I lost her in easter of 2006, a year an half ago. Now I'm purchasing this Cd again, in her memory and possibly to help me once again, regain what I once had during the holidays.

It is a great Cd... full of classical, jazzy, and bluesy style "all instrumental" music in electric "jazz" guitar with some accompaniment with a baby acoustic bass and jazz drums. You will not regret this buy."
Joe Pass - - Christmas Dreams

"Backed by John Pisano on rhythm guitar, Jim Hughart on acoustic bass, and Colin Bailey on drums, Joe Pass gives us a swingin' collection of jazzy Christmas standards like only he can play 'em.

These appear to be the same pieces that are on Joe Pass: Six-String Santa and on Joe Pass: Christmas Guitar Dreams, though the order of the recordings is different.

Whatever the album's title, and however the tracks are ordered, this is jazz guitar at its best.
