CD ReviewsBluegrass Mountain Style! Bluegrass Lover | Knoxville, TN, USA | 12/15/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Mr. Joe Isaacs has done a fantastic job on this recording. He digs into the vaults for some Bill Monroe, & Stanley material, while putting several original tunes on this project as well.
On the first track, "Close By," as soon as you hear them twin fiddles come in, it puts a chill down your spine in my opinion. As far as that song (besides Bill Monroe's original version of it in the 50's) Joe has done it better than anyone as far as I'm concerned. Keep doing the mountain style Joe. Alex, 16." |
