"In the final days of Vee Jay, this album was issued and most people never saw a copy of it.
It contains:
"Everybody Let's Dance (top side of his first FAME single)
"Steal Away" (top side of second FAME single...it was a big hit - got to #17 on the Billboard pop charts)
"Try Me" and "Lovely Ladies" (the third FAME single)
"I'm Getting Better" and "I Want Justice" (the fourth FAME single)
Additionally, it contains "There's Something On Your Mind", "Shot Of Rhythm & Blues" (B side of his fifth FAME single), I'm Gonna Rise Again", "I Tried To Tell You", "Stormy Monday Blues" and an early version of his 1966 FAME single (distributed by Atlantic).
Anyone who loves deep Southern Soul will love this terrific album. Quality mono sound....expensive, but worth it...considering that Rick Hall has been sitting on the rights of his FAME material, I doubt this will be reissued on a lower price CD."
