"Bear Family has continued it's legacy of giving lesser known artists of the past the treatment they deserve. For years and years I have had to listen to a long since worn out copy of "The Death of Hank Williams"/"Hank Williams Sings The Blues No More" on a 45 rpm record and I even went so far as to write MCA records about re-issuing his music, but to no avail. Here, Bear Family gives Mr. Logsdon the royal treatment. You have a full length CD that runs just over 74 minutes chocked full of his entire 50's output (with the exception of a couple of lost songs that are probably never to be found) that run the gammut from rockabilly to straight forward Hank Williams style country to some obviously Johnny & Jack inspired numbers. The sound quality is great with the exception of one or two songs (but they are very listenable) and the enclosed booklet goes into great detail with a bio written by Colin Escott. Of course, there are many interesting photos as well that show him with Sheb "Ben Colder" Wooley, Raymond Burr (of Perry Mason fame) and many others. Buy this and I assure you won't be sad you did. Well worth the money!"
