CD Reviews

Listen to this Album!

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Jim Post is a wonderful artist who has lately been writing songs and one-man shows about the Mississippi River that runs near his adopted home in Galena, Illinois. Listen to his voice -- it's just a wonderful instrument that has a slight hint of his native Texas. On this album, Jim teams with a number of excellent instrumentalists to explore traditional songs, with some originals as well. While I prefer some of his earlier (and not available on CD) records like Shipshape, this is an excellent recording that is not to be missed."

"A true classic and a must have for everyone and anyone with some soul! Go see him perform LIVE either at Galena, IL ( Great fall escape town and antique haven) through September or when he comes to town with his latest Jim Post creation, Adventures Out West - More Mark Twain re enactment and SINGING. I have seen his performances and they are truly great - I didn't even like folk music when I went to see him - I have changed that stance though!"
