A Brief History of (Miller) Time is a retrospective compilation sampler, with collaborative works ranging from an unexpected Oleo from pianist Jim Ridl's CD release concert for his Your Cheatin' Heart (2005) to an extended live version of Miller's own High Point (recorded at a 2004 Coltrane tribute concert three months after the CD version on ...it's another), through his long-term associations with Eddie Green, Monkadelphia, Denis DiBlasio, Suzanne Cloud (the politically prescient Below the Beltway dates from 1995!), Philly diva Evelyn Simms, and all the way back to '80s fusion Philly stalwarts Reverie. Seven of nine tracks are previously unissued, out-of-print or first time on CD.
