CD Reviews

Excellent!!!

"This is an amazing record! Jim & Jennie have a really exciting vocal sound, their voices blend together so well and it's unlike anything else out there. The group stays very true to traditional bluegrass, yet they make it their own. The original songs are terrific. It's wonderful to see a young bluegrass group introducing this music to a whole new generation. I've seen them perform in NYC, they are so dynamic on stage. Highly recommended!!"
Great bluegrass CD

"This is one of the better new bluegrass CDs I've heard. If you like bluegrass/ classic country as done by Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, the Johnson Mountain Boys, Hazel and Alice, or the Louvin brothers, this is the CD for you. Really aggressive approach, for lack of a better word; it just reaches out and grabs you by the eardrum. The duet singing is really great, fabulous close harmony, some of the highest singing I've ever heard. The selection of cover songs is unique as are the arrangements and the originals are awesome too: check out "Old Wood Mill" or "Sing From the Back." They play New York a lot too, and are definitely worth checking out live."
Great purchase.

"If you like bluegrass or if have an appreciation for musicians who know there instuments well, this CD is for you. The band is comprised of a banjo, mandolin, big bass and fiddle. Brad Hutchison plays in the ranks with renowned banjo players like Bela Fleck and Mark Vann. And Jennie not looks and sounds very comfortable on a mandolin, but also brings back the female voice of classic bluegrass that is a missing piece in many modern bluegrass bands today. This CD is a must in any bluegrass collection and a great way to start your collection."
