Synopsis

Album Description
The folk instrument erhu has nearly a thousand years of history. The tones born out of just two strings manage to create a world immense with sounds that are haunting and gentle. A collection of work by wonderful composers, and a gem that brings out the limitless possibilities of the erhu, covering the classical music of China with sounds that might make you believe it was a Western instrument! Heartwarming melodies and the tones of the erhu talk to future dreams and hopes, gently enfolding them in an embrace.

Really nice blend of fast and slow titles

"A REALLY nice addition to any collection and if you like this type of music, by all means GET THIS!

The only reason it is not a 5 is because I "ruined" myself by listening to his best of CD too much! :) If you have "best of" then by all means get this, if you don't - get that CD, see if you like his style - THEN get this one!

The first two songs are what it is all about:

Birdsong is a fast flirty ride - just like a bird flying - you can almost feel it! while "Distant thunder" is the perfect blend of styles - very slow and sweeping that makes him perfect to listen to!

I would say this is a worthy addition to your collection.
