CD Reviews

Terrible remake.

"Okay, don't be swayed away by the fact that I like music such as Slayer and Metallica. I like the original by Berlin. Loved it, actually. The reason I don't like this version, simply put, is because her voice isn't right for it.I think that without the keyboards and with an all too powerful voice, it just doesn't work."
Jess may not know a lot but she CAN sing!

"I don't believe that this is the correct place for a person to rant and rave about their personal beliefs about an artist. The information that we should be providing should be about the single or album in question. For instance, the fact that someone from Federal Way, WA thinks that Jessica is too skinny is completely irrelevant to the quality of this single.
The reason I gave the single 4 out of 5 stars is because I feel that the track could have had a bit more emphasis on the strong vocals that Jessica has. When she hits the note "Take my breath away" I always feel that she isn't singing to her true potential because I have heard her sing it live and I deeply think that she sounds so much better than on this single. But that may be the production's fault. After all, they have total control on how it's going to finally sound.
The song is great and Jessica has amazing vocal capabilities. I think it's safe to say that she chose the right career path for herself."
Disappointed...

"I have the expanded version of Jessica's "In This Skin" album. The reason I bought this single was for the unreleased track "Fly". In my opinion, it wasn't really worth it. "Fly" sounds sort of like a cross between the song "Everyday See You" (from "In This Skin") and early Mandy Moore songs from her "So Real" album. So, if you like that particular song or album, you'll love "Fly". But if you don't like your pop music to sound overly cheesy, pass on this single!"
