It Has To Grow On You
David P. Squire | Livonia, Michigan United States | 07/03/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The only reason I went looking for this CD was for the song "I Cry For Iran", and it took me awhile since I always thought it sounded like Dead Can Dance..well I found it as an import and bought it for a lot more than I wanted to pay but after I listened to it...Jerry Harrison was being cery creative in his off time from Talking Heads...I think he's just as mush as a music genius as David Byrne...Anyway I ended up liking the other stuff on the CD better than "I Cry For Iran"..."Sleep Angel" is definitely the best one on there, but listen to "Cowboy's Got To Go": what a funny tune and "Never Let It Slip" is a good one too...you might not like the whole CD like I do, but hey you can get it for a penny? Come on! By it"
Not Bad

"I really only like a couple songs on this album. That is the way it always is with these Casual Gods rekkids. I only liked two off the last one. This one I like Sleep Angel and the track following it.The rest? It's mediocre early 90's high brow rock. Jerry Harrison lays his very 1990's environmental message on pretty dang thick. He hits the listener over the head rather than be subtle about it. But the cover art with a man in an orange enviornmental suit "walking on water" or rather walking on water so polluted that it can be walked on! Interesting. Too bad the rest of the album doesn't live up to the cover concept. Ciao!"
