CD Reviews

Absolutely fan-f*cking-tastic!
Jack Dempsey | South Miami Beach, Florida | 07/12/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Like my near neighbor B.Costa below here, I picked this up just two days ago from Specs on South Beach. And yes, their "dance" section is outstanding, as is the knowledge of *some* of their staff. But, the selection is amazing - far superior than other Specs. At any rate, I digress.

Having known my tastes musically, the dance manager there puts this in my hands, directs me to a listening station, tells me to take a spin. D*MN! Right from the beginning you know this is going to be excellent. And it never, ever lets up. I purchased it without hesitation, barely getting into the "Deep Throat" track. And, it has been playing CONSTANTLY ever since.

Those considering...consider no more. You just have to get this or else you're an absolute idiot. Not going to sugar-coat this one (though I've never been known to sugar-coat anything...well, almost anything). You simply have to. End of discussion.

Looking further...pick up the "new" Soul Heaven Kerri Chandler/Dennis Ferrer cd too. Jerome Syndenham here uses some of Dennis' good graces on this cd, and on that Soul Heaven release (all of which are amazing by the way, from the Masters at Work one, to the Blaze one), the Dennis Ferrer cd is worth the price of admission alone.

Also, check out the relatively new Ministry of Sound Sessions: NastyDirtySexMusic mixed by Smokin Jo and Tim Sheridan. If you can't find it here, just go to Ministry of Sound's website, or to Specs in South Beach. =)

Enjoy kiddies."
"Staff Pick" is right!

"I came across this disc at Specs music in Miami Beach. Specs is known to have a great Dance Music section and I always turn to it to find new and uncoming artists. The staff at Specs are usually "on point" with their recommendations and so called "staff picks."

Well, they really nailed it with this one. You'll find yourself bobbing your head and thinking to yourself..."damn...this track is sick" all throughout the set.

Check it out..."
