CD Reviews

Jerald is Finally Back, But Not Alone
Al Robinson | Gaithersburg, MD United States | 12/15/2001
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This is the first recording by Jerald Daemyon since the awesome "Thinking About You (featuring "Summer Magic") was released in 1995. As the title indicates this is a collaboration with a group of other musicians and several vocalists. While this is entertaining, don't expect the mind-blowing violin dominance of Jerald's earlier work. It should be noted that Jerald was supposed to have released a recording called "Jerald's Groove" in August of 2001. However, it has yet to be available for purchase. I am waiting and hoping that that effort will be more reminiscent of "Thinking About You". In the meantime, for those who are starving for jazz-funk on violin, I hope you know about Regina Carter, Doug Cameron, and Noel Webb."
Jerald is Hotter than Ever....You Gotta Get this One!!!

"Jerald Daemyon, violinist is back and will have your heart knockin' and your head bobbin' with his new release, "The Jerald Daemyon Group". Once again Jerald's creativity and musical talent work to embody our souls in rapture, joy and delight. He takes it to a new level with his new project and blends R&B, Hip-Hop and Jazz to create the ultimate CD. This project definitley picks up where his hit "Summer Madness" left off and takes it to another level. You won't need to change the disk to put on your favorite R&B hit because Jerald gives you a little bit of everything. There are many suprises here especially with the track "JD's Revenge". Can you say Jean Luc Ponty times 1,000,000. Here Jerald proves that he is the fastest, baddest and hottest gun (VIOLIN) in the North, South, East and West. This CD is a must have for any Jazz Violin lover and a neccesity for people who love good music and most of all can appreciate a CD with 14 great songs. For once an Artist gives his listening audience consideration for a change."
