Rubbish From An Irrelevant One Hit Wonder
Paul Satanic | 06/28/2005
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Jentina was promoted in the UK as a massive 'street sensation' with her debut Bad Ass Strippa. The video to that song showed her off as a Vanilla Ice wannabe that couldn't rap so you can understand why it bombed. Changing tack, Jentina's record company decided to revamp her from Vanilla Ice copyist to a Raporexic mess with a song that was meant for Kylie.

French Kisses is the result.

It flopped. Badly. Rival MC Lady Sovereign released a diss song called Sad Arse Strippa (you can download it somewhere as it's an online MP3 only) and proceeded to eviscerate poor Jentina's career before it even began. Not only did it ruin Jentina (she apparantly burst out crying when she heard it, personally I would have made her listen to French Kisses, her rapping is punishment enough) but it made her the laughing stock of the UK rap movement.

That is how terrible Jentina is. She's not even as good as Vanilla Ice. How she got a record deal as a rapper is beyond me. Seemingly her A&R people hate Lady Sovereign for 'destroying' Jentina but to be fair, she's made a good job of that herself. Check out her official site to see the horror stories that are her videos.

French Kisses sounds like a fat, deformed relative to Britney's Toxic, which is written by the same people in fact.

Jentina is now selling her tacky records in Italy and has been dropped by her label now. Please don't buy this record, buy M.I.A. instead."
