Originally released in 1999, Secret Anniversaries was described by one reviewer as 'a nearly perfect recording.' His story songs and fingerpicking guitar style, in the tradition of other well-known Texas songwriters, have been heard on everything from the Judy Collins holiday radio special that aired throughout the United States to NPR's Car Talk.Jeff grew up in small towns around Texas. A graduate of Duke University, Jeff won the prestigious Academy of American Poets Award and received a J.D. from the University of Texas and an M.F.A. from Warren Wilson College in North Carolina. He has been a songwriting finalist or showcase artist at the Kerrville Folk Festival, the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Sierra Songwriters Festival, Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival, Tucson Folk Festival, Lake County Folk Festival, B.W. Stevenson Songwriting Competition, and the Mountain Valley Arts Council.
