The album is not just a must if you like to hear two great masters play the violin in completely diverging styles, it is just great music to listen to! He was in his 80's and playing with only a few inches of bow, and yet what elegance and fluidity. Not to mention the wheelchair.This album has great, familiar songs, and I would have rated it higher as there is only 1 Grapelli. When Menuhin plays, you have the sense that he's reading and almost struggling with the musical ideas. Still it's fascinating to hear how 2 men playing the same instrument can sound SO different..."
