"As a Madder Rose fan this CD shocked me! It is not what I expected at all. IT IS SO INTERESTING! It gave me hope that indie music is alive and well and changing. You must listen several times...It grows on you. Mary sounds great and the new guy is creepy and cool! Love it!"
Cool is back

"What can I say? I picked this up, not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. The beat and killer poetry-reader like lyrics remind me of a much cooler time long ago, with a modern twist. I would like to find some more music featuring Billy Cote and Don Greene. I think they have a real knack for song writing. I look forward to more material."
DOWNTEMPO BANDITS WITH SLAMMING RHYMES

"Madder Rose mainman delivers a slice of Bristol with a sideorder of New York City beats and lyrics. Billy Cote(Madder Rose mainman) teams up with other Rose(Mary Lorson) and New York City performance artist Don Greene to bring us a downtempo trip-hoppy journey that Mazzive Attack or Tricky would be proud of. Where Mary handles the vox on the Cd's single (where you are star)Don Greene spins drunken yarns that the most urbane would find scary! This album will finally show the true talents of Mr. Cote as a talented songwriter and producer. BUY THIS! You will not be disappointed."
Downtempo supastars!

"Madder Rose mainman Billy Cote hooks up with other Roses and New York performance artist Don Greene to deliver a downtempo nightmare that Tricky and Massive Attack could learn from. The American version of the Bristol sound with homicidal/drug crazed well thought out characters to keep the album exciting. One of the best if not the best releases of 2001. Billy Cote is finally gonna be noted as one of the best songwriters of the decade.(AS HE SHOULD, YOU'LL AGREE WITH ONE LISTEN!)"
Nice One!!!!

"Tastey release from Madder Rose guy Billy Cote. Heavy on the bass, sort of lo-fi crackly drums, lots of spacey stuff. Vocals by Don Greene are low-down and scary, amix between Johnny Rotten & Tricky. Other songs have laid back vox from Mary Lorson of MadderRose. A dark, dubbed out kind of record, good for the late night listen. I recommend."
