Synopsis

Album Description
2009 collection of from this R&B/Pop outfit. Though they may have found their commercial peak in the late '60s, this special compilation takes their story from their hit period and then onto the early 70's with stomping singles released on Gordy and Event, including Barry White penned 'I Feel Love Coming On'. Jay Proctor was backed by an all white band, becoming one of the first integrated units in U.S. Pop music. On the sessions, backing vocals were by Ross' regular unit of Ashord, Simpson and Melba Moore. 28 tracks including 'Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie', 'Ain't No Soul (In These Old Shoes)', 'The Power Of Love' and more. RPM.
