CD Reviews

Interesting how facts are left out...

"I like these guys, but what the reviews and note fail to mention is that they are gay. They are a couple and the fact is that Jason was actually kicked out the band Truth because he was gay. So, these two met and made music together. I think it is amazing that two christian guys have the faith to make christian music. What i find not so amazing is that amazon.com left out that they were gay in the intro. These guys are making a bold move into new territory and they can be role models to other christian youth. I am a gay christian, thirty-one years old, and these guys are an inspiration. And their music ain't half bad either. Buy it because we need to support those that hold their faith strong and go out on a limb to be role models for others."
Do you announce that you are straight everywhere you go?

"[...] I've never seen any artist introduced as a 'straight' artist. They don't introduce Brian Adams as "straight recording artist Bryan Adams". Jason & deMarco's sexuality is their business, and has nothing to do with their music. Are these guys a couple, yes! Awesome. They are treading new territory, and they're doing it by LIVING their life, not 'talking' about it and rubbing it in people's faces. The music speaks for itself. Find out for yourself, you won't be disappointed, I assure you!"
Awesome, Inspiring, Uplifting...

"These two men are extremely talented. They sing with deeply heartfelt emotion. Their voices are rich and powerful, the arrangements are lovely, and the harmonies are gorgeous.

As a man who was kicked out of his church for being gay, I am deeply grateful to hear an album like this sung so well by two gay men. I miss listening to Christian music, but it's hard to appreciate it when most of the Christian world spends its time judging the LBGT community and wishing us dead. Their music seems so hypocritical to me anymore. But not this album! You simply cannot doubt the sincerity of these two men. And if you doubt it, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Most of these songs will be familiar to many of us, but hearing these new arrangements and medleys, they seem fresh and new. In spite of what many in the Christian world would have us think, God does love us, and I thank Jason and Demarco for reminding me of that."
