Teti | Ohio | 01/17/2009 (4 out of 5 stars) "There are smoother recordings of flute music if you're looking for meditation, but the differences between some of the music on this CD is interesting. Some of the music is sharp, and comes in strong, breathy bursts. Juxtapose this with the soft flow of the more tranquil music and it makes for an interesting mix although not especially meditative. I am not an expert on the Shakuhachi flute, so I don't know if there's a story being told or a cultural statement being made. The music is different but not unpleasant."
